What goes into every website

I plan the structure, write the copy, and design and code every page. None starts from a template.

What is seen

  • Structure and copy

What is said, in what order and in which words, drawn from the facts of the project.

  • Design

Planned for phone and computer at the same time.

What is unseen

  • Code

Written for the project, with no page builders. Quick to open, on the phone too.

  • Accessibility

Usable with a keyboard and a screen reader, to WCAG 2.2 level AA.

  • Found on Google

Titles, descriptions and data made for search engines and AI assistants.

  • Security

Encrypted connections, protected forms and no outside services without consent.

How it works

  1. Listen

What the website has to do and for whom.

  2. Propose

Scope, timeline and price in writing, to read calmly before deciding.

  3. Design and code

Structure and copy first. Then, page by page, the design and the code, already working.

  4. Stay

After going live, a 30-day warranty. Then adjustments by the hour or by the job.

What’s already live.

Questions

How much does a website cost?

There are no set prices. A website’s price rises or falls with the number of pages and languages, with what it does beyond showing, such as bookings or a shop, and with how much copy there is to write.

What needs to be prepared for a website?

For a website, only the facts the client alone knows are needed: I write the copy myself, privacy policy and cookie notice included. Images are chosen for the project, licensed, illustrated or generated with AI, or come from a photographer I recommend, separately.

Can the website copy be changed without help?

Changing the copy without help depends on the website: where it makes sense, it comes with a panel for editing without touching the code. Otherwise, changes are requested by email and I make them.

Where is the website hosted, and what does it cost per year?

Hosting and the domain depend on the project: the cost, and whether they are in the client’s name or mine, are agreed in the proposal. When they are in mine, I invoice the costs, and they transfer to the client on request once the project is paid.

Will the website rank first on Google?

Nobody can guarantee first place on Google, and Google itself warns against anyone who promises it. Everything is done before launch: the Search Console registration, the sitemap and the Google Business Profile.

What happens to an existing website?

The new website replaces the old one, and every old address leads to the matching new page, so Google keeps track. Before the switch, I list every old address, so none is left broken.

Can the website sell online?

Yes: the online shop goes into the website, on Shopify or custom-built, with payments and invoicing connected. Since 28 June 2025, Decree-Law 82/2022 brings online shops selling to consumers under Portugal’s accessibility requirements, except those of microenterprises.

A project starts with an email.

The type of project, a name and an email are enough. I reply personally on the next working day.
